The Water Resources (Control of Pollution) (Silage, Slurry and Agricultural Fuel Oil) Regulations
2010.
You have probably heard these being referred to as SSAFO and they apply in England and Wales. Other similar

WARNING: All farms in Nitrate Sensitive Areas should now be in
compliance...
The Environment Agency now in the enforcement stage for the areas included as from the start of this year and
many have needed to enlarge their slurry storage to comply with the Nitrate Pollution Prevention Regulations 2008
(NVZ Regulations).
The regulations require livestock farmers to provide sufficient storage for slurry produced by their animals while
they are kept in a yard or building during certain months of the year.
New areas may be included within the regulations for 2013, so don't delay. Contact us about your needs. We are
independent of all manufacturers and suppliers and will give you unbiased advice across all the feasible
